Privacy Policy

El Jardín Paraíso and Bloodsparkgames (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operate this event companion for events at different venues. This policy explains information handled through the companion and related support requests. A venue, ticket seller, or other event partner may have its own privacy policy for information it collects separately.
Information we receive
- Check-in: the name you enter, optional email address, event and player identifiers, and check-in/sign-out information. Use a first name or suitable display name rather than information you do not want displayed.
- Participation: activity attendance, contestant selection, submitted answers, trivia choices and results, votes, and scores.
- Optional interactions: connection preferences at singles events, feedback, safety reports, and messages you send to support. Share only the details needed; avoid passwords, payment information, or another person's unnecessary private details.
- Technical information: service providers may receive IP addresses, browser/device information, request timestamps, and security or diagnostic logs when you access the companion.
How information is used
Information supports check-in and session recovery, live activities and game scoring, moderation, connection features you choose to use, feedback, safety follow-up, support, and operation and troubleshooting of the companion. Entering an optional email address at check-in is not a subscription to promotional emails. Marketing permission, if requested, must be separate from event participation.
Public displays and event-team access
Game participation is a shared experience. Display names, player numbers, responses, scores, and applicable voting results may appear on guest devices and event displays. A response initially shown without your name may later be associated with you when a winner or leaderboard is displayed. Other attendees can see or record what is displayed.
Check-in email addresses, individual connection preferences, feedback, and safety reports are intended for event administration rather than public game display. The event team may use relevant information to provide support, handle reports, or address safety issues. Do not assume that an anonymous-looking game response cannot be connected to your participation.
Service providers and other disclosures
The companion uses Supabase for backend services and Cloudflare for website hosting. Browser libraries may be delivered by jsDelivr. These providers process technical or event information needed to deliver their services. Information may be stored or processed in locations different from the event venue.
Relevant information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to respond to a lawful request, investigate misuse, protect people or rights, or handle an event safety issue. If a connection feature involves sharing contact information with another attendee, that sharing should be explained and separately authorized before it happens. Checking in does not grant blanket permission to share your contact details.
Storage on your device
The companion uses local storage, session storage, and browser caches to remember your guest session, return token, preferences such as sound, in-progress drafts, and app resources. They help restore participation and support the Home Screen experience. The companion does not use advertising pixels or cross-site advertising profiles in its current implementation. Browser “Do Not Track” preferences do not change the processing needed to operate an event session.
Signing out may preserve a return token so staff can sign you back in. Clearing this site's browser data removes locally stored information but does not delete records already held in the backend. On a shared device, sign out and clear site data when you no longer need session recovery.
Retention and deletion
Retention depends on the reason information is needed, including event administration, support, safety follow-up, and applicable legal obligations. The companion currently does not apply a single automatic deletion deadline to all event records. To request correction or deletion, email the contact below and identify the event and the information involved.
We may need to verify that a request concerns your information. Applicable law, safety follow-up, recordkeeping needs, and provider backup processes may affect what can be removed and when. Copies independently made by other attendees or collected by another venue or provider are outside the companion's control.
Your choices and requests
You can leave email blank at check-in, choose whether to use optional connection or feedback features, mute sounds, stop participating, and request help with your information. Privacy rights vary by location; requests for access, correction, deletion, or other applicable rights can be sent to kyle@bloodsparkgames.com. There is no need to send identity documents or sensitive information unless we explain why a specific verification step is necessary.
Adults-only participation
Events and the companion are intended for people aged 18 and older. The check-in confirmation is a guest's age declaration, not an identity-verification service. Venue-specific admission requirements may be higher. If you believe a person under 18 has provided information, contact us so we can review the situation.
Photography and recording
The companion does not request camera or microphone access for these games. Checking in is not a blanket promotional photo or recording release. Event or venue photography arrangements, when applicable, should be communicated separately; ask staff if you do not wish to be photographed. Other attendees may still capture shared game displays.
Security and updates
No online service can guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted access. Use care with what you submit and report concerns promptly. We may update this policy as features or practices change; the effective date above identifies this version. Material changes should be communicated before substantially different information practices are introduced.
